Boswell AFC Net Cash from Anderson Maguire Funeral Directors

Anderson Maguire Funeral Directors in Paisley Road West, Cardonald, has come to the rescue of Boswell AFC, who play at Ross Hall in Crookston with some funding following the theft of the money raised for their team earlier this year.

The team, who have been part of the community for 25 years, were dismayed when the money they raised at a Race Night was stolen.  Paul Quail, goalkeeper of the team, decided to put out an SOS to some local businesses and Anderson Maguire stepped into the breach with a £200 donation.

Alexander Smith, Financial Administrator for Boswell AFC, said:

“We are delighted Anderson Maguire has given us this donation to help us keep training the boys, who are aged from 18 upwards.  Without the support of companies like Anderson Maguire, it is very difficult to secure venues, training kit, strips etc.”

Liam McCarron, Managing Director of Anderson Maguire Funeral Directors, said:

“We put a great emphasis on providing community support where possible and after hearing about what happened to Boswell AFC, we felt it was really important to try and support this great community initiative.”
