Funeral & Ambulance Operative

Basic Salary: £19907.00 before Overtime & Commissions
(5% increase to basic salary commencing 1st December 2022

Job Role & Purpose

As a Funeral & Ambulance Operative within Anderson Maguire, you will work as part of our front-line operational staff within the Private Ambulance team, directly contributing to the efficient performance of our business each day and delivering an extremely high quality of service to all our clients.

Outstanding communication skills, efficient time management and an expert in attention to detail are essential criteria.

Funeral & Ambulance Operatives are engaged daily on our private ambulance team, attending various settings to bring clients loved ones into our care, carry out preparation and assist on funerals, ensuring the highest standards of service excellence and respect for our clients loved ones, in accordance with the companies’ policies and procedures.

Due to the nature of the job, as part of your role you may be required to work additional hours over and above your normal working week, to assist the needs of the business and clients. This includes placement on the out of hours, on-call service, on a one in four week rotation.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience of working in a Front-line, Client/Customer engaging role or Funeral Service background is desirable.
  • Standard grades or equivalent in English and Mathematics.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Outlook and Excel desirable.

Essential Criteria & Required Skills

  • Full UK Driving license
  • Excellent English and spelling are essential in this role.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Client focused with a caring manner and nature.
  • Immaculate attention to detail and drive to ensure faultless client care.
  • Excellent teamwork and people skills.
  • Outstanding organisational skills, the ability to work to tight deadlines and cope under pressure.
  • Very smart appearance.

We offer a competitive salary of £19,794.00 basic, with access to overtime, commissions, a generous holiday allowance and employee benefits including pension contributions.

Experience:

  • Funeral Service: 1 year (preferred)
  • Frontline / Customer service: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (required)
